When
my company received the 2005
- Top Diversity Business in the State of Utah Award by National
Diversity Business.com, I knew this was a great opportunity to
gain some media coverage. Although I had what I thought was a good
media release, it wasn’t getting any coverage.
Kathleen
Gage coached me on how to craft a well-written media
release. With a few minor
adjustments to the copy and recommendations of how to
submit the release via the Internet, not only was the release
published throughout the Net, the
local weekly paper read the release on the newswire and ended up
doing a full page story – pictures and all.
To
pay for that kind of media coverage would cost thousands
of dollars. With Kathleen's help my story was published at no cost
to me. In addition, many
of my clients saw the article and I
received calls from potential clients; some who have since then
become clients.
